DIY clamshell without the need the expensive mold
Clamshell packaging is one of the most common types of packaging in daily life, especially suited for packaging figurines or static models, where a transparent package is needed to allow consumers to clearly see the product inside. However, traditional clamshell packaging often requires the expensive mold, and the minimum order quantities can be overwhelming. Now, with the FORMART Smart Vacuum Former, you can easily DIY clamshell packaging using simple materials like paper clay!

Material of Use
3mm wooden board、PET plastic sheet、paper clay
Procedure
- Download the DXF laser cutting file and use the Flux laser cutter to cut the baseboard. Then, assemble it using screws or adhere it with white glue.
- Stuff the lower half of the figurine model with paper clay to create a draft angle, ensuring the blister can be easily released from the mold.
- Form the blister using a PET plastic sheet and trim along the edges.
- Fold the blister in half, use an 8mm hole punch to make holes, and secure the blister with 8mm slotted plugs (you can also use PET-specific UV glue for bonding).
- Done!
