Use vacuum forming to replica figurines for front & back sides
There are many people who want to use vacuum forming to replica figurines. Although vacuum forming is commonly used for large-scale dolls, it is less common for small-scale dolls. Therefore, in this demonstration, we chose to use the most easy-to-use paper clay to make the blister molds for the front and the back of the dolls, and then fill them with epoxy resin to glue them together to complete the replica figurines.
Machine of use
Maetrial of use
Paper Clay, CAST Sheet LDPE , EP01 Epoxy resin, color mixing paste
Procedure
- Use paperclay to mold the front and back of the doll, and try to make the doll protrude a little bit more, so that you can control the depth of the mold and the alignment of the adhesion.
- Do not rush to fill both sides of the doll with epoxy resin at the same time, as this may result in the doll being too thick due to errors in the depth of filling.
- When filling the second half of the mold, reserve a little depth for the third filling to combine the front and back sides.
