MYYARD introduces FORMOCUT, a cordless electric plastic cutter designed to make trimming vacuum formed blister packaging easier, faster, and more precise.

Developed in collaboration with an established scissors manufacturer, FORMOCUT features a 390T high-torque motor and a tungsten carbide blade specifically designed for blister packaging and thermoformed plastic materials. It supports most plastic sheets up to 1.0 mm thick, with selected materials up to 1.5 mm.

The replaceable cutter head makes maintenance simple and straightforward. Its safety-focused blade design also helps reduce the risk of accidental contact during cutting.

Why We Created FORMOCUT

 

If you've used one of our vacuum forming machines, you've probably experienced this: forming the plastic is easy—but trimming the finished part is often the hardest step. Laser cutters and ultrasonic cutters can certainly do the job, but they require extra equipment, additional setup time, and often produce unpleasant plastic fumes during cutting. Most cordless electric scissors on the market are designed for fabric rather than rigid plastic sheets. They tend to be bulky, difficult to control around complex blister shapes, and their blades quickly become dull—or even damaged—when cutting thermoformed plastics. That's why we partnered with a professional scissors manufacturer to develop

High-Capacity Rechargeable Lithium Battery

FORMOCUT is powered by a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery for cordless convenience.
Using the original charger, a full charge takes approximately 120 minutes.

On a full charge, the cutter provides up to 90 minutes of continuous operation.
Actual runtime may vary depending on the material type and cutting thickness.

FORMOCUT can also be operated while plugged into the charger, allowing you to continue working even when the battery is low. During pauses in operation, the battery will continue charging.

Note:

  • Please fully charge the battery for at least 120 minutes before first use.
  • The built-in thermal protection system will automatically stop the motor if overheating occurs. Allow the tool to cool before resuming operation.

⚠️ Always use the original charger to prevent damage to the tool and battery.

⚠️ If cutting becomes difficult or the blade jams, switch off the power immediately to avoid damaging the tool.

⚠️ The blade is a consumable part. Blade sharpness will gradually decrease depending on the material being cut.

⚠️ The rechargeable battery is also a consumable component. Battery capacity will naturally decrease after repeated charge and discharge cycles.
