Rigidity of Thermoform

Hi,

Has anyone been successful with other thermoform materials that is rigid?

I've tried PC up to 0.8mm but i realise that i start losing details. Same with PET 0.8mm though more details i lose rigidity.

Not sure if i should try acrylic or other materials.

Thanks!

If you are using a PC material, in my experience, you will need to fine-tune your forming temperature (turn the knob directly during the heating process of the sheet) until the depth of your PC sag is approximately equal to 1/2 height of the mold, which generally gives you the most balanced result.

I do not recommend the use of acrylic because it is more tough than PC, and therefore you will lose more details. I would suggest PETG. I did form 3.0mm PETG and got a great result.
