The reason for Emerson to quit his high-paying job in the electronics industry and change jobs in his middle age is to improve the industrial environment in Taiwan. He found that there were many young people who wanted to start their own business in product design and hardware, but the current industrial made it difficult for them to do so because most of the traditional factories were engaged in mass production and were unlikely to accept small orders. This situation led Emerson to establish MY YARD, hoping to develop a variety of tools that meet the needs of the new generation and turn around the unfavorable industry environment for entrepreneurship.

FORMART design concept: simple, fast, standardized, suitable for small-scale production

FORMART is the first desktop machine developed by MY YARD, designed to meet the needs of simplicity, speed, standardization, and small production runs. Users can print 3D molds, oil and clay sculptures, wood molds and even carved potatoes, put the molds they want to produce on the FORMART, and use the vacuum suction to make the softened plastic plates to fit on the molds. A piece of work was soon completed.

When processing different materials, FORMART will automatically provide the corresponding working parameters, and monitor the working condition through the built-in infrared temperature sensor and vacuum gauge to enhance the success rate of molding.

He analyzed the user group of FORMART is divided into three categories, the first is Maker and designer, most of them will use the tool machine to make product shells, cement containers, pet feed pots, etc.; the second category is handicraft workers, this group uses a wider range, such as handmade soap production, physical mold turning, painted art masks, and even movie props, its scope is not only limited to practical products, but also extended to the field of art; the last category is the teacher, for teachers of 3D printing or mold turning, FORMART is a good helper to assist in the courses.
